June Gothberg

June Gothberg, Ph.D. joined the K. Lisa Yang and Hock E. Tan Institute on Employment and Disability (YTI) in 2021 as a Senior Extension Associate – Senior Evaluation/Data Associate. June has spent her career researching, supporting, and advocating for inclusive communities, work environments, and school settings. Previously, she served as a director for transition and dropout prevention projects at the Michigan Department of Education and served over 12 years as a technical assistance provider and evaluator for the National Secondary Transition Technical Assistance Center (NSTTAC) and National Transition Technical Assistance Center (NTTAC), where she co-authored several publications including the Taxonomy for Transition Programming 2.0.

For over a decade, June has been the Chair of the Disabilities and Underrepresented Populations at the American Evaluation Association and helped to co-found and serve the American Psychological Association’s Statistics without Borders. Additionally, she was a founding board member for the Family Hope Foundation, assisting families of children with disabilities with healthcare costs and quality of life. As a practitioner, June spent 10 years working in the classroom teaching students who were at-risk, court-involved, and students with special needs.
