Cathy Pantelides

Cathy Pantelides has been working in the field of special of education for over 33 years. She has been a classroom teacher, private school administrator, and Director of Special Education in two districts in Nassau County, Long Island. For the past 10 years, she served as Transition Specialist with the LI Regional Special Education Technical Assistance Support Center (RSE-TASC). In this role, she provided professional development to school districts, agencies and families, in the region, to support students with disabilities from secondary to postsecondary settings. Cathy’s passion for improving post-school outcomes for all learners extends beyond Long Island. She is the President of the NYS Chapter of CEC’s Division on Career Development and Transition. Her goals include increasing the visibility and utility of NYS DCDT as the preeminent leader in current research and evidence-based programs and practices for promoting positive post-school success for all students. Further, NYS DCDT is also working to become your “go to” professional resource no matter what role you play in supporting our youth.
